You don’t have much room to describe a property in the MLS, so what little space you have is incredibly valuable. You can make the most of it by relying on the details section of your listing to convey the basic facts; you don’t need to repeat the number of bedrooms or bathrooms in that ultra-valuable space.
When you’re writing your listing descriptions, start – and end -- with fireworks. Highlight the home’s best features in your limited space, and do it using what writers call power words.

What Should You Describe in a Listing?
In order to properly describe a real estate listing, you already know that you need to talk about upgrades, amenities and the home’s most spectacular features. If you can paint a picture with the words describing the listing, even better.
Something like “Enjoy breathtaking views from the master bedroom” takes readers farther than “Large double-paned windows in master bedroom” does, and they both take about the same amount of space.
WORDS TO LEAVE OUT OF LISTING DESCRIPTIONS
Experts suggest that some words don’t sell – or worse, they can cause homes to sell for less than they would without them. Those avoid-at-all-costs words include:
