“If you don’t stage, we don’t list” is a proven game plan Benchmark Realty LLC agent Sharon Brugman uses weaving in the latest in technology and determination while relying on Benchmark’s solid name as a real estate company to yield big results for her clients.
The accredited staging professional began working for Benchmark in 2010 and quickly established herself closing around $7.5 million in sales last year.

Once we’ve carefully worked through the list, we implement the staging plan and then the property is ready for the market,” Brugman says.

With a good stock of furnishings, artwork and home décor, from the staging plan to additional props, Brugman includes this service as part of her overall marketing of the home. Here are her three tips for successful home staging:
- Neutralize color and décor – use pops of color in accessories.
- De-personalize and take out all cutesy pictures.
- Show Them, Don’t Tell Them. Don’t say this home has a lot of space IF you remove all the clutter. Show them by removing it ahead of time.
